I got involved with and volunteer at Andy’s Man Club because not enough is done for mental health and Andy’s Man Club deserves recognition. They’re a men’s suicide prevention charity, offering free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups. For me personally, Andy’s Man Club basically saved my life.
From being at my lowest point to being able to rebuild, gain my confidence back and make new friends along the way, then progressing to now being a volunteer where I can hopefully help others with their own journey, is a really positive experience.
Being a part of Andy’s Man Club, whether you’re there to get help or as a volunteer to help others, making connections through events and being able to share information, creating new friendships, all goes toward helping people get stronger.
The whole point of Andy’s Man Club is to have a space for men to talk and help reduce the rate of suicide in men.
