Why we got involved in tree planting

“When I saw the tree planting it was an opportunity to further the work we’ve been doing. It’s nice to be doing physical activities in the open air. It’s good physical exercise, it’s good for your mental health, you can’t really fault it on a personal level and an environment level.”

About this video

We all have our own personal motivations for getting involved in our local community. Volunteers at a tree planting event in Kirkburton told us what inspired them to take part. We talked with Stephanie (a volunteer for KindleWoods CIC), Thomas (from commercial company I and G Ltd), Peter (from Burton Environment Group) and John (a local resident).
