During the first lockdown, I joined a community Facebook page and I (like others) sent recipes in so that everyone could try something new. Mine was for Seaside doughnuts. The positive was a mother tried it out with her children after I posted it. The wonderful thing was everyone coming together and what I found was lots of humanity. I do hope that we keep what we gained back of humanity during this pandemic.
Things such as liking online community pages and posts can make a difference. I like to hear people’s stories and have good conversations and benefit from those who like to do the same.
Thank you to Isaac for sharing this story after participating in one of our “How can more people come together to make local places better?” online workshops for Kirklees citizens.
